Our view of the universe

Description

This shot was taken at the beautiful McLaren Falls in Tauranga, New Zealand. This image shows the milky way setting in the western sky. What you see in the image is the galactic centre of our galaxy.

If you look close enough, you can see the galactic kiwi (aka. Dark Horse Nebula). I have shot milky way so many times, but every time you look at it, it is just amazing. We in New Zealand are so lucky to have the best seats to enjoy the night sky.
